inclusion is a powerful tool for organizational success. Understanding and fostering an inclusive environment will increase employee engagement and organizational innovation, which improves organizational profitability. Travel Hands is a perfect example of facilitating inclusion in a working and social environment. We thrive on inclusion by shining diversity in our workplace.

The web is an essential resource for many aspects of life: education, employment, government, commerce, health care, recreation, social interaction, and more. The Web is used not only for receiving information but also for providing information and interacting with society. Therefore, the web must be accessible to provide equal access and equal opportunity to people with disabilities.

My role as a graphic design intern is to create attractive, eye-catching illustrations that Visually Impaired People and sighted people can find joy and pleasure looking at. Also, to help people understand VIPs World Services goals and what our hardworking, wonderful team has to offer.

Creating something for people who don’t have any difficulties related to vision or reading is not a big deal. The challenge begins when we want to create something beautiful and aesthetic to the eye but also easily readable. 

VIP, around London specifically, require companions to assist them in their journeys – with a wide variation of trips including but not limited to: medical appointments, going shopping and games of bowling. However, we have struggled to successfully find volunteers willing to accompany the VIP in certain areas of London.

For anyone who doesn’t know what inclusive design means, it means designing for a wider audience that fits the needs of “everyone”.
